Stone Osteopaths has been established since 1978. We are set in a grade 2 listed building with two treatment rooms. For back pain, an accident or sports injury, we assess each patient individually, and create a bespoke treatment, putting our patients at the heart of what we do.With patients from across Staffordshire and Cheshire, our treatments can help with:

About your visit
Stone Osteopaths is a friendly and welcoming practice providing a bespoke treatment to every patient. Please bring along any scans, test results and a list of your current medication.At your initial consultation your osteopath will ask you a lot of questions, some of which may not seem relevant to you, but they are to make sure that you are safe and appropriate for osteopathic treatment. All being well, your osteopath will normally ask you to dress down to your underwear, you may wish to wear a vest and shorts if that is more comfortable for you.Your Osteopath will usually perform a full postural exam, and any other tests or specific examinations that may be relevant to your current situation. Once we have diagnosed what’s wrong we will discuss our findings and are happy to answer any of your questions.Based on what we find we will:— Use our hands to work on your muscles, bones and joints
— Give you relevant exercises, stretches or postural advice
— We may discuss other ways to manage your symptoms
— At the end of each session we normally re-assess your range of movement.Chaperone Policy: You may want to bring a relative or friend with you to act as a chaperone. It is totally your choice whether or not you have a chaperone at all, whatever makes you feel most comfortable.Prices: Sessions are £58 for all new patients/paediatric new patients, and £50 for all follow ups and paediatric follow ups. You can find our full services and prices on our booking page. Please note: We no longer accept card payments. You can pay by cash or BACS transfer.Access: Our treatment rooms are accessible via stairs. However if you are unable to climb stairs at this time please inform us and we will arrange to treat you on our ground floor, this will usually involve you having the last appointment of the day so that we can maintain your confidentiality and privacy.Parking: There is limited parking outside the practice however Stone has various council car parks you can use, the closest being Crown Street Carpark (ST15 8QN).Terms: By booking an appointment you accept our full terms and conditions, please take a moment to familiarise yourself with them.COVID-19: We remain, as ever, fully focussed on your health and safety. Booking: At Stone Osteopaths our appointments are normally 60 minutes for a new patient, and 30 minutes for a follow up appointment. If you’re booking online please choose an appointment that starts on the hour or half past the hour as any appointments booked for quarter to or quarter past the hour will have to be rearranged.Payment: By agreeing to have a consultation with our osteopaths, you are agreeing to our payment terms and conditions, and therefore are agreeing to pay our consultation fees. Please note: We no longer accept card payments. You can pay by cash or BACS transfer.Admission: We reserve the right to refuse admittance to anyone who is verbally or physically abusive to any member of our staff. We also reserve the right to refuse treatment to anyone who we feel is unsuitable for osteopathic treatment, or who is unable to give informed consent e.g a patient who is under the influence of alcohol, or under 16 years of age (without the presence of a legal guardian).Chaperone Policy: You may want to bring a relative or friend with you to act as a chaperone. How we continue to deal with COVID-19
Stone Osteopaths continue to follow the latest professional guidelines, PPE codes, and with stringent hygiene measures in place.Face masks are now optional, if you would like your practitioner to wear one, please ask.After you’ve booked your appointment, one of our experienced osteopaths will phone you to triage you prior to your appointment . Your osteopath may ask you a lot of questions, some of which may not seem relevant to you, but they are to make sure that you are safe and appropriate for your face-to-face osteopathic appointment and treatment. At your face-to-face appointment your osteopath may ask you some more questions, your osteopath will normally ask you to dress down to your underwear — you may wish to wear a vest and shorts if that is more comfortable for you.Your Osteopath will usually perform a full postural exam, and any other tests or specific examinations that may be relevant to your current situation. Once we have diagnosed what’s wrong we will discuss our findings and are happy to answer any of your questions.All contact areas (chairs, plinth, pillow, handrails etc) within the clinic will be cleaned after every patient, and rooms aired for half an hour in between patients. Windows will remain open during your treatment to circulate air, but fans will not be used due to the increased risk of infection caused by recirculated air.
